I was introduced to a Lighting Guide that had a list of different types of lighting that can be applied to light portrait photography.

• Back-lighting where the lighting is at the back of the mannequin or person.

• Coloring gels which are small plastic sheets clipped to the light or held in front of it to change the color of the light.
